How Do You Measure A Year in Your Life?

tumblr_lm8vl9hDUH1qinvuko1_500.gif

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure a year in the life?

What IS the Feltron Project

The Feltron Project?

Track Your Life In Four Ways During This School Year
Take your daily life, and math is up. Some suggestions of ways you can track your daily life.
  • where you have been [streets per day]
  • track location on phone [longitude/latitude]
  • text messages sent / received [quantity per person per day]
  • movies watched [title per medium (dvd, theater, ipod) per day]
  • coffee drinks purchased [accessory per drink per location per day]
  • hours/time slept [time awoke, time fall asleep]
  • what you have downloaded [per medium and/or per day]
  • facebook activity [number of status updates]

What else?

Questions we need to answer...

  • How will we grade it?
  • Creativeness of data to collect?
  • Something must be collected on your phone?
  • How will we build in regular progress checks?
  • How will you record it and display it? (a wiki page)
  • What will your Final Product look like? (can be answered later...)

What else to consider?
